Hello! I’m Siobháin (think Shiv-awn), a Wānaka-based wedding celebrant & MC hailing from Ireland. Dulcet tones and Irish accent included.

I’m here to help you mark one of the most important moments of your life. No pressure 😉 And if you decide to go with me, I’m going to spend a fair bit of time getting to know you to ensure your ceremony is spot on – so here’s a little bit about me.

One of my favourite parts about being a marriage celebrant & MC is getting to know each couple. All of the detail please. That way, I can help tell your love story in a carefully crafted wedding ceremony that genuinely reflects you two as a couple. When it comes time to say your I Do’s, there’s a careful balance between marking the occasion for what it is and keeping it light, easy, and relaxed. That sweet spot is different for each couple, and I love the challenge of finding the balance and nailing it.

I celebrate marriages, civil unions, wedding blessings, vow renewals and naming ceremonies. Whether you’re after an elopement celebrant or someone to click with you and your guests,, tips for writing your vows or advice on how to include that special guest in your special day, I’ll be there to guide you through the whole process. Legal bits included. 

As well as a ceremony crafted just for you, for every wedding with “Siobháin the Celebrant” I’ll donate a native plant ($8) to Te Kākano Aotearoa Trust. Te Kākano is a community-based nursery who propagate native plants, and use these plants to restore habitats for our native birds and wildlife. Go on, give your marriage roots in Wānaka. Pun intended.

Siobháin was absolutely incredible. We felt right at ease from our very first call with her when she explained the process and how we'd work together to structure the ceremony, write our vows, and how we want the day to feel. I never realized the level of detail that goes into officiating, until I saw everything Siobháin had done. You can tell she truly listens, cares, and reads the notes you share with her, and the result is that she officiated a ceremony as if she was someone who had known us closely for years. She has a geniuine warmth and calming presence that helped us both feel so comfortable during the day, and we had so many guests come up to us raving about how amazing she was. Could not recommend Siobháin enough, she brought such positive energy to our day and we'll never forget it. Thank you!!!

Siobhain was exceptional from the start of the process to the very end. She was so easy to work with and so orgarnised with her questionnaire and information pack for us to read and answer before the big day. She came to our ceremony dressed up beautifully with perfect hair and makeup done which really helped elevate the whole ceremony (trust me I have seen some celebrants show up to weddings in ugly clothes). Her program was written and delivered so well that one of our guests rated our wedding the best wedding they have been to and they said it was a lot to do with our celebrant. I can't thank Siobhain enough for marrying us in the best way possible.

Siobhain you were spectacular! You were an integral part of our special day. You completely understood our vision and were so accepting of our crazy little family. From the minute we met you on our first zoom call with your electric blue nails to you playing with our kids at our rehearsal and then marrying us! You were such a bright light every step of the way. We are so grateful to have met you. You made everything so simple and easy. The questionnaire you sent made writing our vows so much easier and you organised all the logistics of our marriage so we didn’t have to arrange anything. Could not recommend you highly enough!
