Let’s get you love birds hitched

Your wedding celebrant & MC, making it official in Wānaka, and beyond.

Hello! I’m Siobháin (think Shiv-awn), a Wānaka-based wedding celebrant & MC hailing from Ireland. Dulcet tones and Irish accent included.

I’m here to help you mark one of the most important moments of your life. No pressure 😉 And if you decide to go with me, I’m going to spend a fair bit of time getting to know you to ensure your ceremony is spot on – so here’s a little bit about me.

One of my favourite parts about being a marriage celebrant & MC is getting to know each couple. All of the detail please. That way, I can help tell your love story in a carefully crafted wedding ceremony that genuinely reflects you two as a couple. When it comes time to say your I Do’s, there’s a careful balance between marking the occasion for what it is and keeping it light, easy, and relaxed. That sweet spot is different for each couple, and I love the challenge of finding the balance and nailing it.

I celebrate marriages, civil unions, wedding blessings, vow renewals and naming ceremonies. Whether you’re after an elopement celebrant or someone to click with you and your guests,, tips for writing your vows or advice on how to include that special guest in your special day, I’ll be there to guide you through the whole process. Legal bits included.

As well as a ceremony crafted just for you, for every wedding with “Siobháin the Celebrant” I’ll donate a native plant ($8) to Te Kākano Aotearoa Trust. Te Kākano is a community-based nursery who propagate native plants, and use these plants to restore habitats for our native birds and wildlife. Go on, give your marriage roots in Wānaka. Pun intended.

So, if you’re after a wedding celebrant & MC in the Wānaka area and you’re maybe a little partial to soft Irish accents, give me a bell and let’s chat. I might just be the one. The other one, that is. You’ve already found THE one.

Barry and I had the absolute pleasure and honour of having Siobhain as our celebrant for our elopement in Wanaka.

From day one her communication, laid back attitude and gorgeous personality made everything just a breeze.

We chose Siobhain partly because we are both Irish and she just inherently understood what we were about. Our elopement was just us 2 and Siobhains ceremony made the whole experience romantic, intimate and filled with craic!

Her ceremony reflected not only us as a couple and the journey we have been on to get married but our culture - the 'cupla focal' were a lovely touch.

If you're looking for a celebrant, Siobhain is your woman!

Much grá,

Aódhnait and Barry

Siobháin truly made our day as magical as we hoped it would be. From the moment we met her, she made us feel completely at ease with her fun, calm, and laid-back energy. We asked for a lighthearted and joyful ceremony, and that’s exactly what we got. It was perfect. So many of our guests came up to us throughout the day to tell us how incredible she was and to sing her praises.

The entire lead-up process felt effortless and easy, and even the questionnaire was fun to complete. Siobháin’s energy is contagious, and Matt and I are so grateful to her for making our ceremony (and our day) so special. Thank you so much, Siobháin!

Siobháin made our ceremony absolutely perfect. Her kind, light-hearted and bubbly nature instantly put us at ease, and you can’t help but feel happy when she speaks. She created a ceremony that felt like a dream with the perfect mix of warmth, humour and genuine connection. It felt like she was a friend who captured us and our story so beautifully.

Siobháin was incredibly easy to work with. She is organised, responsive, and made coordinating across time zones effortless. Nothing was ever a hassle.

We had so many guests raving about Siobháin, with many saying she was the best celebrant they had ever seen. She made our ceremony so special, and we absolutely loved having her as our celebrant.

We couldn’t have asked for anyone better and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a truly memorable ceremony. 💛

Latest Rambles…it’s okay to cry during your ceremony (imo). If you love someone so much and are so happy, it brings you to tears. Then let the tears roll! Thoughts?!

Last Saturday with Ruby and Matt was a little bit magic. For their whole ceremony, they locked eyes, smiled from ear to ear, dimples included. Not even a hint of nerves, just pure joy. Let’s do it again Ruby & Matt, although I see you’ve just done it again in Vegas, so you win!@glendhustation

Weddings Lately.Been playing (and singing) a lot of Lily Allen’s West End Girl album as I drive to weddings so far this season. Usually sipping on a Coke Zero and wondering who the f*** is Madeline. I arrive early. Have a little reset. If I have time sometimes a meditation to wish the couple well (the one I’m about to be celebrant for) and I’m back in the zone! 💋#wanakamarriagecelebrant #wanakaweddingcelebrant #wanakawedding #siobhainthecelebrant #irishcelebrant #marriagecelebrantnz #ripponhall #weddingcelebrantnz #wanakawedding #destinationweddingnz

(well they had my vote anyway!)A brilliant day for @megumi_gavin and Michael a couple of weeks ago.
God the ceremony felt good! Mike from Visual Events had the lapel mic set up 💃(celebrants…IYKYK) We covered the ins and outs of life as a couple (a Covid bubble success story!) ; we had a little easter egg at the end of Michael’s vows about some b**** Amber from Teen Mom (don’t quote me on that but that was the gist), I had to compose myself at one point from laughter. It was all round beautiful time!Planning : @somethingborrowedeventsnz
