Your Ceremony

Apart from wanting a good ceremony! How do you want it all to feel? What’s my brief?! Is there anything you definitely do or don’t want. Or something you’ve seen before that you did / didn’t like?
(approx is fine)

Guests who can’t make it

Would you like to mention anybody who can’t make it on the day? Would you like to mention anyone who has passed who is special to you? You can also light a candle in their memory. If you would like to mention people, but don’t want to dwell too long or mention names, we can keep it brief.

Wedding Party

Do you have a wedding party who will be standing up alongside you. If so, can you list their names and who will be on whose side?

Entrance

What is the plan for walking in / starting the ceremony? Will you walk with anyone?

Music

Have you chosen your songs yet. Can you list them here. You will need one for the entrance, two for the signing of papers and one for the end (a banger!)

Audio

How will people hear your ceremony? Will you have a speaker and microphone? For weddings with guests over 50-60 people I recommend bringing in the professionals to avoid any awkward moments with sound cutting out. Your DJ or Band for later might do a package to cover the ceremony. Or you can contact a local supplier like Entertainment Solutions in Wanaka.

Vows

Will you be writing your own vows? (I highly recommend this if you can! See getting started email for tips and aim for approx 250 - 300 words)
Vow Books
Have you ordered these? If you can have them ready for your rehearsal and hand them over then that would be great.
Would you like anyone to share a poem or piece of writing during your ceremony? Please list their name and what they’ll be reading.
Will either of you be changing your name? This is just for fun if I introduce you as e.g. "The Hoopers" at the end. Your name is not legally changed in the ceremony, you need to change passports etc. for that. If you aren't changing names, that is fine too. I will introduce you as e.g. The Newlyweds, Name & Name
Who is your MC and can you provide their contact details in case I might need them?
Who will have your rings? This can by anybody

Witnesses

You need 2 x witnesses to sign your legal documents. They can be anybody you like and is a nice way to involve special people in your lives. If you can’t decide or want a little game of chance we can pick a name out of a hat on the day. (You just send me your list of names)

Dress Code / Colour Scheme

What colour will your wedding party be in? What colour are your flowers? Do you have a dress code?

Confetti / Petal Toss

Will you be having one at the end of your ceremony?

Housekeeping

Before we start your ceremony I will kindly ask your guests to put their phones on silent. Would you like me to share any other info with them. E.g. refrain from taking photos during the ceremony and let the photographer do all of the hard work? Or ask them not to post photos of you two to social media throughout the day?

Other suppliers

Please list your other wedding suppliers if you know them: Hair, Make-up, Flowers, photographer, videographer, catering, dj etc.
